948 and smooth case transmission

Post by a.moore »

I have a stock 948 Spridget engine that spun a rod bearing. I was originally thinking I would Ebay a new crank and rods and make it a winter project but I've come to terms with this not happening. The potentially good news is that the block has been sleeved and the bores look okay. The head casting is 12a185.

I really just want it out of the garage and would prefer that it not get recycled. There is also a smooth case transmission that falls into the same category (I opened the side cover and everything looks to be there).

Name a price and they're yours.

Andrew,

I'll take this off your hands; building up another 948 so we'll need a block and head as a spare.
$200 sound fair?

Andrew - the little gremlin responsible for telling me when someone replied failed to do so.
He's since been sacked.

I'll get in touch offline and coordinate pickup/payment.

Thanks!
