Fresh L16 4 cyl, 1639cc, prepared for vintage racing to '72 SCCA B Sedan GCR's. The motor was built by Steve Estrada of Winding Road Racing, Colorado Springs, CO. It has 12:1 Wiseco pistons, camshaft lift is .475". The head was ported for Colorado High altitude tracks in mind and therefore was intended for torque and not high rpm horse power; built to run up to 7k rpm and it should last a long time with reasonable maintenance. The bottom end was completely balanced, magnafluxed and the crank was straightened and micro polished. Oil recommended: 10-30 racing oil, changed at least every two race weekends. The fuel should probably only be from 103 to 110 octane (Tip: be very careful running on a chassis dyno. Many people hurt race engines there as they forget to adjust to the fatter side to make up for the lack of airflow for intake and cooling. When the car goes out on track after power tuning on the chassis dyno, it always will run lean on dyno if this requirement is not met).

Dual Weber DCOE 45 sidedraft carbs on Rallye Sport manifold.

New Toyo 205/60R13 race tires on 13x7 rims (2 extra wheels with older tires installed, plus 4 old unmounted Yokohama A008's included).

280Z front struts & vented rotors with Wilwood calipers, Datsun 240Z finned rear aluminum drums, with new pads and shoes. Fresh air ducting to front brakes.

LSD rear differential, F & R swaybars, new polycarbonate windows & paint, roll cage with NASCAR-style door bars (driver's door recessed for upper side-protection bar), 5 speed dogleg trans, race seat with 2012 belts, new fuel cell, trunk-mounted battery. Low time on car & engine (1 RMVR race June,2013, plus a few track days). Originally a California car, with SCCA log books as ITC car as far back as 1984 included.

A well-prepared car & race ready! RMVR legal, passed 2016 annual RMVR Tech inspection & noted in log book. Seat has fore/aft adjustment, but installed for shorter, narrow driver; easily lowered 2" by removing spacers. Recommend installation of quick-release steering wheel hub (not included) for ease of entry/exit. Located in Aurora, CO 80018. I race one of these cars, and they are very reliable, easy on tires when properly set up, and a blast to race. At RMVR races, the 510 competes with BMW 2002s, Alfa Romeos, etc., as a B Sedan. All cars are prepared as they were raced "back in the day", recreating the excitement of the original Trans Am series & SCCA club racing. Visit for more on vintage racing. Sold on bill of sale only. Please contact me for more info.

Pictures can be seen on craigslist ad #5600939232, or email or text for pictures (Sorry, I don't know how to downsize them to post here).
